Synopsis
Jonathan is an 11-year-old boy. Like every Wednesday, he sets off to play with his little brother Hugo and their friend Fred. In the forest, the three boys meet Suzanne, a young gypsy girl desperately trying to make friends. The small group soon discovers a mysterious cave, which opens the doors to a world as wonderful as it is strange.
In a ruined medieval city, the children find a chest marked with the Templar cross. When they open it, they release the spirit of a fearsome pirate. What follows is a whirlwind of adventures: battles, rescues, captures, treasure hunts, and ultimately, a final rescue.

At the crossroads between The Goonies and The Chronicles of Narnia, this film blends action, emotion, and timeless adventure. It reminds us that the greatest treasures are not made of gold, but of friendship, courage, and human connection.

An Adventure Where Reality and Fantasy Collide to Uncover a Mystery Buried Since the Middle Ages…

The breathtaking story told in Jonathan and the Templar Treasure draws its inspiration from historical events that began in 1118, when the knights of the Church arrived in the Holy Land. King Baldwin II of Jerusalem offered them part of his palace, which then became the first Temple of Jerusalem the stronghold of the Templars!

But in 1307, King Philip IV of France (Philip the Fair) ordered Pope Clement V to arrest the Templars. The bravest among them ended up at the stake, and Friday, October 13, 1307, marked the fall of the Templar Order. It is from this infamous date that the superstition surrounding Friday the 13th was born.

This historical episode forms the foundation of the fantastical tale of Jonathan and the Templar Treasure a thrilling adventure bridging past and present, leading us deep into the heart of French history.
